As a senior developer or tech lead, you’re expected to make decisions that shape systems, teams, and products, but nobody teaches you how. This course is designed to bridge the gap between strong execution and strong judgment. You’ll learn how to frame the right problem before jumping to solutions, how to assess risk and decide when to move fast versus when to slow down, and how to surface the hidden assumptions that derail projects. From there, you’ll work through practical frameworks for evaluating trade-offs, including weighted scoring, impact mapping, and OODA. You’ll also learn how to structure and communicate your recommendations so others can follow your reasoning and buy in. Throughout the course, AI is used as a thinking partner, helping you stress-test options, challenge blind spots, and pressure-test how you’re framing each decision. Finally, you’ll build habits around decision records and journals so your judgment keeps improving over time.
