This is a “Stylized Female Heads Sculpting in Blender Course” where I will be showing you how to learn to sculpt different female heads.
Now, a couple of words about the course contents.
The course is made in Blender and mainly for Blender users, although the head sculpting techniques, that I am showing here are easily applicable for any other sculpting software users like Zbrush and Nomad.
This course is made for beginners and intermediate-level students. At the same time, it will be better and easier for you if you know at least some basics of Blender, things like navigation and UI.
The course consists of two parts.
In the first part I am showing how I set up Blender for myself and optimizing it before starting my work. Also, it includes several short and easy-to-grasp lessons about sculpting UI and sculpting tools in Blender.
The second part consists of practical exercises, where we will be sculpting stylized female heads. First, we will start with sculpting the “Orc Female Head”. Orcs are normally ugly, even if they are women ;) So it will be easier for you to start with sculpting an ugly female head, but still, we will be concentrating on making it anatomically correct.
After that, we will be practicing “Plane heads” – the best-ever exercise for those who want to master sculpting heads. This exercise will help you to understand the construction of the head in simplified plane forms. First, we will do a classic example and then we will try to make our own plane head variation.
Next, we will be sculpting a Stylized female head, which is an excellent example of how we can apply our knowledge from the previous Plane head lessons to the stylized female heads.
And finally, we will be sculpting a pretty-looking Stylized Elf Female Head with long ears.
